Hi, I’m Marisela, and I’m here to share my story of hope and healing.
I remember the day my symptoms began — after a cryotherapy procedure meant to ease mild back pain, I was left with intense pelvic pain, numbness, and a loss of connection to my own body. Sitting, sleeping, even moving comfortably became a daily struggle. I felt trapped in a body I no longer understood.
After seeing over 20 doctors and working with several pelvic floor therapists, I hit a breaking point. Nothing seemed to help — until I realized I had to look beyond traditional treatments. I turned to mind-body therapies like meditation, deep breathing, and yoga.
Healing didn't happen overnight. But slowly, I found relief. I learned to truly listen to my body, to honor what it needed, and to make space for joy and self-care.
The real breakthrough came when I understood that my pain wasn’t just physical — it was also emotional and spiritual. Healing meant more than fixing symptoms; it meant reconnecting with myself on every level.
Today, I’m not completely pain-free — but I’m free in ways that matter most. I know how to manage my pain. I know how to live fully. And I know how powerful support, resilience, and self-compassion can be.
If you're living with fibromyalgia, chronic pelvic pain, or any chronic condition, I want you to know: you're not alone. Recovery is possible.
Let’s walk this healing journey together.

What is Pain Reprocessing?
Pain Reprocessing uses techniques such as pain re-education, somatic tracking, and positive psychology to help individuals change their perception of pain. The ultime aim of Pain Reprocessing is to retrain the brain to stop generating the sensation of pain, thus reducing the intensity and frequency of chronic pain symptoms.
The Initial Assessment
The initial assessment is designed includes a detailed information about your pain, medical history, previous treatments, and medical record review (optional). It enables us to understand potential factors that may have contributed to the onset and development of your chronic pain symptoms.
Pain Reprocessing: 5- Step Process
Step 1: Based on the insights from the initial assessment, during our session, we will go over the latest neuroscience findings on chronic pain. You will gain new insights and understanding how your brain generates pain (this does not mean that pain is imaginary or in your head).
Step 2: During our sessions, we will explore your pain experience. By closely examining the patterns of pain symptoms, in relation to behavioral patterns and psychosocial factors, we can validate primary neuroplastic pain vs. structural physical damage.
Step 3: Somatic based techniques are a key component of Pain Reprocessing. During our sessions, we will practice body scanning, mindfulness meditations, guided imagery, breathwork, and progressive muscle relaxation.
Step 4: During this step, we will work on identifying emotional triggers and behavioral patterns related to your pain. We will develop strategies to foster a sense of safety, ease, and comfort while managing emotional threats.
Step 5: As we discover all the layers of your pain experience, we will practice leaning into "positive sensations" and self-awareness of pleasant emotional states. During our sessions, we will practice meditations on gratitude, emotional awareness, guided sensory focus, and visualization.
